An active online presence shows Chuka Susan Chesney to be friendly, hardworking, caring, and very busy as an artist. Extremely prolific is how I would describe her creative output, but more important is Susan’s pleasure in experimentation, pushing her directions to include new techniques and materials. Much of her work incorporates stitching, applied bits of fabric and paper, safety pins sometimes and buttons. Watercolor is a favorite base and there is always a strong lyrical line running through each piece. Subjects range from very personal to energetic landscapes and I love the combination of plant motifs covered with tiny marks, dots, and lines.
Art Exhibited at AARNUN GALLERY is selected for its rich composition, confident style, and evocative atmosphere. In the shop pieces are presented and arranged to highlight the variety and quality of this "Evolving Collection" and showcase each individual artist. And the mix of artists works, style and subjects are carefully chosen and edited to resemble a comfortable grouping of art in your collection at home.
